Meet The Artist

Ayten Tiryaki

Born in 1961 in Ordu, Turkey, Ayten Tiryaki is a distinguished calligrapher specializing in Islamic art. She studied under master calligrapher Hâmid Aytaç and later earned her icazet (calligraphy diploma) from Hüsrev Subaşı and Ali Alparslan. She further refined her skills with M. İnci Ayan Birol, mastering classical scripts like Thuluth and Naskh.
Tiryaki’s work reflects deep spiritual devotion, often focusing on Quranic verses and the 99 Names of Allah. Her elegant compositions balance traditional Ottoman techniques with contemporary aesthetics, making her a sought-after artist for exhibitions, private collections, and sacred spaces.
A member of the Research Center for Islamic History, Art, and Culture (IRCICA), she has contributed to preserving Islamic calligraphy heritage. Her art serves as both visual worship and a bridge between classical tradition and modern expression.
